Pigment Prints: Layers of Memory: A Parallel Universe
In my archival pigment prints, an ongoing series, I use material from my drawings, paintings, mixed media, photographs and poetry as source materials. I reflect metaphorically on the role and functioning of memory. Some are inspired by interior networks and patterns of neurological activity, and landscapes where our human interactions are visible. Memory becomes the portal to what is left behind, what we remember, and for making connections for change.
We can learn how to access creativity through re-forming memories, by re-activating our imagination, that has woven our personal stories together.
