Poetry and Language: 2016- present
Above, The Ugly Duckling, my poem video
My poetry is an integral part of the meaning and composition in these works, as I c
ross over from representation to abstraction, from object to writing. I often draw upon my poetry as source material for my drawings, paintings, mixed media, pigment prints, and videos, to expand upon my use of metaphor, both visual and verbal, to the range of meaning behind language, and as a medium of spatial and temporal memory, anchoring each as a unique sensory experience.
